Installation
Go to the download page to download and install BuildMyFeed
(beta version).
How to get started
You need to install "source definition files" in order to use BuildMyFeed.
A source definition file is a file with the extension .iz1 which includes
rules of how to convert an HTML page into an RSS feed.
These files are now created by us, but soon ways to create these rule files
will be open for users of BuildMyFeed. Please, request rule files on
this page.
Why an application?
The BuildMyFeed application moves the action from a centralised service to the user's PC. We want to move the functionality from a service to a client application where the user in the long run will have full control and can keep their news retrieval private.

How does BuildMyFeed work?
BuildMyFeed converts HTML web pages on the internet to local RSS feeds. These feeds can be used as an ordinary news feed with your favourite RSS reader.
Double clicking on the BuildMyFeed icon (
) opens
a browser window listing all registered rules. Rules are registered by putting rule
(*.iz1) files in the My Documents\My Infolets folder.
Clicking on a source will bring you to the RSS feed for that source. Just add this feed to your favourite RSS reader.
